From Family Visit to Lao Rice: A Dream Realized

My name is Rami Cohen owner and CEO and our story begins in 2014, when a visit to Laos with my wife's family sparked a vision. We were captivated by the beauty of the country and its people, and we saw a unique opportunity to contribute to its development. With a focus on agriculture, we embarked on a journey to establish a state-of-the-art rice processing plant.

Building a Sustainable Future

In 2016, our family made a life-changing decision – we relocated from Israel to Laos. Fueled by a million-dollar investment and a passion for innovation, RameirVision was born in early 2017. This vision gave rise to Lao Rice, a rice mill dedicated to exceptional quality and sustainable practices.

Lao Rice encompasses more than just processing and packaging premium rice. We are a company built on ethical principles, and empowering the local community is a core value.  Our facility boasts 4,000 square meters of storage and features advanced drying ovens, laser-controlled processing and polishing, and multi-level packaging capabilities.  Most importantly, Lao Rice employs a team of dedicated local workers, creating jobs and fostering economic growth within the district.

Today, Lao Rice is actively expanding its reach into international markets, including Israel, Europe, and the USA.  One of our key innovations is our revolutionary vacuum packaging technology. This technology preserves the freshness and quality of our rice for at least two years, offering several advantages:
